“Tall Paul” has returned to Memphis and his studies there…..Sorry ladies…You had your chance.

This is a picture of Joseph Peabody. Joe P was the son of one of my close friends. In November 2007 he was diagnosed with a brain tumor, a grade IV astrocytoma known as glioblastoma multiforme. Joseph had three surgeries, 6 weeks of radiation at St. Jude’s in Memphis, and multiple chemo drugs before God took him home the day after his fourth birthday on Aug. 21, 2008.
Every year his family and friends organize the Joe P Rally Run to raise funds for cancer research. The 3rd annual Joe P Rally Run will take place on September 1, 2012 in Nashville, TN. Last year, the Joe P Rally Run successfully raised over $40,000 and had over 350 participants, and this year we hope to exceed that amount by raising over $50,000 and involving over 500 participants!
Due to the great success of the last two Joe P. Rally Runs, the researchers we have supported at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital are planning to begin a clinical trial with a new pediatric drug to help children fight aggressive brain cancer. This is extremely exciting news, as it could save the life of a child who otherwise would have no hope. These researchers have been funded almost exclusively by the Joe P. Rally Run and we hope this year’s Joe P. Rally Run will also raise lots of money for this vital research to save children’s lives.
We will not have a 9:00 A.M. member’s class this Saturday as Angela and I will be helping with the run but I would be so proud to see ALL the CFMers making the trip to participate. Don’t stress about the run. (many participants walk) This event is SO IMPORTANT to me and I hope to see you all there. Use the links below for registration! OH and dont for get to wear your CFM shirts!
